New ducts or old ducts require regular schedualed cleaning since the efficiency of filters are not regulated and are not at a minimum of 99.97% efficient (0.3 microns).

Flexible ductwork reduces the air flow due to friction caused by ribbing and are very difficult to clean properly depending on installation.

Lack of preventitive maintenance due to dust on fire sensors causing false alarms.
